Congrats in advance to your father in law. I'm for sure the Trail Ridge rowing mirrors are aftermarket and they're not really OEM Nissan. But there's no change between the 2024 and 2025 Frontier when it comes to the mounting points. Though the 2025 got updates that make it better.

The 2025 Frontier has a few fresh upgrades, but the towing mirrors are pretty much the same, so if he's looking for the latest and greatest, the 2025's a good choice

It is good looking out for your FIL, has he already picked out a trim, or is he still scoping options? Some mirror setups might depend on the package, not just the year

Yeah, that sounds right. The '25 has some nice upgrades, but the mirrors are pretty much the same. Has he decided on any trim levels yet, or is he still looking? Some of those towing packages come with better mirrors, depending on the configuration

The mirrors across the 2024 and 2025 Frontiers are basically the same as far as I know... There are no major design or feature changes in the towing mirrors. If they look identical and function the same on both model years, you're good to go. Don't stress much about the missing features. You can get the 2025 since it's relatively newer though.

You're right, they are exactly the same, without any design updates. For the latest model advantages, yeah, choose the 2025.
