So here's the gist, I've been cruising in my 2016 Pro-4X and curious, has anyone tried a Bully Dog for better gas mileage? I don't tow or off-road much

Oh man, the eternal quest for better MPG with a tuner! I've gotta tell ya, with Bully Dog on these V8s, you'll for sure get some extra grunt and a snappier throttle (which is awesome!). But for gas mileage alone? Don't expect miracles.

You might snag an extra 1-2 MPG on the highway if you drive like a grandma, but it's really easy to just enjoy that newfound power and end up burning more gas. Tuners usually shine brightest when you're looking for towing power or just pure performance kicks, not so much as a magic MPG wand. Still, it'll make your Pro4X feel like a whole new truck!

You might not see the gains you expect, many report just a 1–2 mpg boost, and some even lose economy depending on driving style, so make sure it's compatible with your Pro‑4X and drive conservatively

I ran a bully dog on my '15 Pro 4X for a while, not expecting a miracle, just curious like you and honestly, the MPG gains were minor at best, maybe half a mile per gallon if I drove light, the only part where it made more of a difference was throttle response and shifting behavior, wasn't really a game changer for me though
