After about a year and a half with my used 4.0L Frontier (now at 72k miles), I finally got around to calculating the fuel mileage, comes out to 17.4 mpg. As someone who's driven Frontiers for years, Id say that's not too bad, all things considered.
Good thought.17.4 mpg isn't terrible for the 4.0L, but it does highlight how thirsty these engines can be, makes you wonder how much more efficient the newer Frontier drivetrains actually are
You have to give me tips on how not to. Lol.Honestly, that's not bad at all for the 4.0L, mine hovered around the same, just don't start tracking it too closely or you'll drive yourself nuts every time the wind changes direction
