04 roof rack fit kit on 16 model

Help me out before I shell out some cash, this Thule roof rack fit kit that's made for a 2004 model, will this fit my 2016 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab? do the first and second gen Frontiers share the same roof line or cab dimensions? Appreciate the help!

The first and second-gen Frontiers don't share the same roofline or cab dimensions, so a 2004 Thule fit kit likely won't work on your 2016 Crew Cab

As someone that tried to improvise once with roof racks I'll say don't. They should be specific for the generation that you currently have and as @PuppyMilk said, the difference in size means they won't be a match. As someone that had to pick up a cargo box that flew off mid drive, I can tell you it's not fun. The racks were tightened, but weren't designed for my car, so they didn't hold well.
